Innisfallen Island Killarney County Kerry

Legend has it King Brian Boru was educated by the Monks at Innisfallen Abbey.

Founded in 640 by St. Finian the Leper,
and was occupied for approximately 850 years
.

Ireland's Native Red Deer can be seen on the Island and some Sika Deer on occasion. There is a walking path around Innisfallen Island which will take around 20 min to walk. Do watch our when you are near the Lake as there are steep drop-offs !

Boat trips are available from Ross Castle there are also Kayaks available on request to visit Innisfallen and tour the Lakes of Killarney
