Daniel O'Connell Memorial Church also the burial place of Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty War in Rome and the Vatican. Heand had a Hollywood Film made about him, it was called the "Scarlet Pimpernel" staring Gregory Peck, his grave is outside the Church on the grounds.

The Fisherman's Bar and ideal stop for lunch, Visit Charlie Chaplin's lounge, a annual visitor back in the 1960's, recently Tiger Woods, Payne Stewart, Catherine Zeta Jones, Michael Douglas, Walt Disney, Dan Marino just to name a few along with Star Wars in 2014. It is run by the Huggard family for 4 Generations like their Cousins in the Lake Hotel in Killarney. For the Huggard family it all started across the road in the Bayview in 1912 and before that they ran "Huggard's Stores" at the end of the Village.

Skellig Michael
Skellig Michael, UNESCO 7th Century Monastic settlement  boats go each day from April to October Weather permitting, it must be booked in Advance, departing from Caherdaniel Bunnavalla pier, Ballinskelligs and Portmagee. It is a climb / scramble 700 ft to the Monastic settlement, so good shoes and clothing along with a light snack is recommended.  It could be Ireland's greatest day experience, add the Skellig Ring and there is no match.

Derrynane Abbey / Ahamore Abbey
Ireland's most scenic Abbey on its own Island you can walk across the white sands to visit this beautiful part of the Ring of Kerry bring your camera it is an amazing place. Daniel O'Connell's wife Mary is buried here, the Abbey was built in the 13th Century and is an active graveyard today.

Charlie Chaplin Statue
Charlie Chaplin statue on the Ring of Kerry situated by the waterfront in Waterville has proven to be a huge attraction to passing visitors. He and his family stayed in the Butler arms hotel in the 1960's and were annual visitors for many weeks each year. Today family members still visit Waterville for its friendly welcoming locals. We recommend the Fisherman's Bar for lunch but there are many other restaurants and bars serving food here also.

Valentia Lighthouse at Cromwell's Point is a very scenic part of Valentia / Skellig Ring and worth a visit. The road is quiet narrow so keep that in mind, if you are a nervous driver you might want to give this one a miss. You can walk down and is a nice way to stretch your legs if you have been driving for a while.

There is no lifeguard on this beach and it is not suitable for swimming it has strong currents popular with Surfers. If you roar "Up Kerry" 3 times out at the Skelligs (two islands out in the distance) on certain days you will hear the Echo back on the beach, go on give it a try your on holidays and no one knows you here ! Go on !

Coomikista Pass is a great place to stop get out of the car here there is a large carpark so enjoy the view, to the North you can see Waterville and the South you can see County Cork in the distance and Derrynane harbour below. On the drive to Caherdaniel there are many lay-bys to stop and enjoy the views, it is one of the most spectacular sections of the Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way. Be sure to visit Derrynane House and walk the beaches.

'Next Pint New York' Ireland's most remote Pub
As seen on TV Ireland's most remote Pub, not a real pub but with "Next Pint New York" painted on the gable walls it is a great photo opportunity with a great backdrop NOTHING !

Saint Brendan's Well is just beyond and worth a visit, under no circumstances should anyone go to close to the cliffs here many have been washed off and never seen again, it is well noted for freak waves.
